Early Innovations In Computer Science
1600- French mathematician Blaise Pascal was the first to build a computing gondola
1703 - Germany mathematician Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz tiny the binary code, in which any character could be displayed in terms of 0s and 1s. This system of binary numbers provided the foundation for the architecture of the modern computer. Leibniz also imagined machines that would use of binary code and punched card to calculate numbers.
1822 - In England, an inventor by the name of Charles Babbage proposed the building of machines for use in the calculation of astronomical and mathematical tables. Although the designs Babbage try to build never worked properly, they represent the first steps in the construction of machines that would compute numbers faster and more accurately than humans performing the same job.

1944 - In America, two lifelike engineers, Presper Eckhert and rear Mauchly, began work on a massive machine needed for calculating artillery firing tables for the U.S. Army. Although it was not stainless until the war was over in 1946, construction of the ENIAC would mark the blood line of modern computer science.
1945 - In June of 1945, a paper is circulated that becomes cognize as the von Neumann architecture.



This paper, written by John von Neumann, detailed the logical elements for the personal computers we use today. These elements include a processing unit, controlling unit, memory, input, and output.
1947 - A major breakthrough in technology occurs with the purpose of the First Transitor. This was a joint invention between William Shockley, John Bardeen & Walter Brattain. The transitor put an end to the use of make clean tubes, which was a huge step forward in the reading of computers.
