Macbeths prominent Character Changes Leading to His Downfall
In Shakespeares Macbeth, a tragical whiz is shown in the main character of Macbeth. As in many of Shakespeares works, he uses a tragic hero to tell a story. The character of Macbeth changes dramatically as the see goes on. In the beginning he has a great affable status and is a liked character by his peers. However, in a chain of events that status is quickly removed. As the sour progresses Macbeth goes from a loyal character to a dangerous on because of his rising ambition for power, and his wifes influence on his actions.
At the beginning of the suffer Macbeth is seen much differently than he is by the end of the play. His social status is high because he is the Thane of Glamis and Cowder, and people like him because he is trustworthy and proven in battle. The faggot of Scotland says, What be hath lost, noble Macbeth hat won (1.2. 67). by means of this quote it shows that the king holds Macbeth in high regard and trusts him. The King of Scotland is Duncan, Macbeths best friend, who he later betrays. During the beginning of the play Macbeth is very loyal to Duncan and would do anything he asked of him. However, this all begins to enlistment when Macbeth starts to think selfishly.
As the beginning of the play develops further, he starts to apply a much larger urge to be king. He begins to have violent dreams and starts to think of ways to make himself king. Macbeths character begins to change dramatically with the heavy influence from his wife, dame Macbeth.
When Macbeths stature and self-control starts to dwindle it is apparent that wench Macbeth is the root of it. After the witches talk to Macbeth, it is realized that the death of Duncan is the provided hope for Macbeth to wrick king. As soon as this is realized, gentlewoman Macbeth starts to take charge and persuades him greatly. They both know that Duncan has to die for Macbeth to become king.
