Given that the topic of this essay revolves around the four draw ups and rationality, I will outgrowth discuss the four var. present created by Boleman and Deal, rationality, and the frame that I will focus on in this paper- i.e. the Structural frame.
Frames are a set of ideas beliefs/ notions / venture that form a part ones thinking or mind-set towards something, an organization in this context. It serves as a blueprint or map towards a particular subject or aid and gives the person analyzing it, a birds eye behold of the situation. Frames are important and relevant to any manager as they give us a clearer picture of what one is up against or what one brook expect.
The Structural Frame:
The first idea that comes to my mind when I think of the structural frame is rigidity versus flexibility. The structural frame is made up of rules & regulations, aims, policies, emphasis on hierarchy and the power of authority. The structural frame is the roughly widely used and adapted frame in most organisations. I see Structure to an organisation as like a kite flyer to his kite. He can improve the kites flying accomplishments or make it. He can let it fly slack or he can have it taut. The structural frame emphasizes purpose, goals, modus operandi, the system, and ballock relationships. Structures are mostly depicted by organizational charts, which most of us are aware of or been part of in some point of our professional careers.
