My name is Michael Starks. I am make-up this letter to let BP know how the Deepwater horizon oil evenfall has effected me and family. I usually meet with other friends and family members at our area beaches for the summer fun and fishing. Due to the oil spill, we were inefficient to do the family functions like we normally do. I also throw three triplet grandchildren and for their first birthday they were unable to fall because of the contaminated beaches.
I also sell what I plosive (fish, shrimp, and crabs). I lost out over $4200 in which I totally made $875-$900. A difference which I am not used to making. I do catering as a side job because my hours are cut to only 38hours a week. I bring home $171.98 a week. I also was unable to get my Meds because a shortage of money. I spend right at $300 for medication.
I am really depressed because I cant buy and do things I like and enjoy so much. My diet is seafood due to me not being able to eat pork or red meat. So I have to spend a little more in the grocery store for food. I feel like I need to be correct for my losses and problems that me and my family faced. Thank you so much in cast away for your caring and concern due to the oil spill from the Deepwater Horizon site
