Scott Peterson was convicted of murdering his wife Laci Peterson, and their unborn son to be named Conner Peterson. Scott was sentenced to death by way of lethal injection in March 2005. On Christmas Eve of 2002 Laci Peterson was reported missing from the Petersons home in Modesto California. At the time she was eight months pregnant and at first Scott Peterson was not made the primary suspect due to the support from family and friends. That changed when the law of nature found out that Scott Peterson was having an affair with Amber Frey. Amber Frey contacted the jurisprudence when she learned that Scott was married and admitted that he had lost his wife weeks prior to her disappearance. Amber agreed to let the police tap the hollo lines in hopes of trying to have Scott to confess to the crime provided Scott neer stated anything on the recordings that could incriminate him.
In April of 2003, a fetus and a womans torso washed up on shore from San Francisco Bay north of the Berkeley Mariana, where Peterson had been boating the day of Lacis disappearance. The torso was missing its hands, feet, and head but was still identified as Laci Peterson. An autopsy was performed but the exact cause of death was never determined. The Medical Examiner did make a note that Laci Petersons ribs were low-pitched prior to her death and not from being dragged across the rocks in the bay.



The Prosecutors theorized that Laci Peterson was strangled or suffocated.
Scott was arrested on April 18, 2003. At the time of his arrest, Scott was in a parking garage at Torrey Pines Golf Course, where he said he was meeting his family and friends for a round of golf. Peterson was in possession of the following items:

* Four cell phones
